Psalm 120

I am in distress, O Lord. Save me for the sake of my soul, for my enemies surround me, seeking to devour me. Who cares for the soul when I cry for help? Only You, Lord, can save and help me. Who can understand? When I lack wisdom, I ask You. When I lack understanding, tears flow from my eyes as I weep before You. I am a daughter who needs her Father, one among the fatherless.

If I could live by the shores of the water where Your light always shines, I would stay with You forever.
